This Privacy Policy describes how Maris Goods LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the DMV Prep — Florida mobile application (“the App”).

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Subscription information is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
• Optional feedback you submit through the App (post-exam reports, question issue reports). This is anonymous unless you choose to include identifying information in a free-text field.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Anonymous user ID generated by Firebase Authentication when you first open the App. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or device identifier.
• Aggregate usage statistics stored in our Firestore database, including: which questions were answered, scores on practice exams, and reports of question issues. All data is tied only to the anonymous ID above.
• App version and language preference for support and analytics.
• Device platform (iOS) and app crash reports through Apple’s standard developer tools.

1.3 What We Do NOT Collect

• Your real name, email address, or phone number
• Your contacts, photos, calendar, or messages
• Your physical location
• Cross-app tracking data or advertising identifiers
• Health, financial, or biometric data

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the practice quiz, mock exam, and study features
• Improve question quality through community feedback
• Calculate question frequency and difficulty trends
• Maintain subscription status and unlock paid features
• Diagnose and fix technical issues

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for targeted advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each handles a specific function under its own privacy policy:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — payment processing and subscription management. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Firebase / Firestore — anonymous authentication and database storage. See Firebase Privacy.
• RevenueCat — subscription state management. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on Google Cloud servers operated by Firebase. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Anonymous user IDs cannot be reverse-engineered to identify individuals.

We retain anonymous data indefinitely for product improvement. You can request deletion of all data tied to your anonymous ID by contacting us (see Section 8).

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users age 14 and older (the minimum age to obtain a learner’s permit in Florida). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect (see Section 1)
• Request deletion of personal information
• Opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
• Be free from discrimination for exercising these rights

7. International Users

The App is intended for users in the United States preparing for the Florida driver license exam. Data is stored in the United States. By using the App, you consent to data transfer and processing in the United States.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the App.
