How much does the app cost?
Nothing. Every feature is free — all 600 practice questions, the Exam Simulator, Study Topics, the Glossary, and your statistics. There is no subscription, no trial to remember to cancel, and no in-app purchase of any kind.
Then how do you make money?
Ads. You'll see a small banner while you study and an occasional full-screen ad between questions. That's what pays for keeping the question bank updated. We deliberately keep ads out of the middle of a question so they never break your concentration.
Why did the app ask about tracking when I first opened it?
That's Apple's standard permission prompt. If you allow it, the ads you see are more relevant. If you decline, you still get the exact same app with every feature unlocked — you just see less relevant ads. You can change your answer any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
I paid for a subscription before. What happens now?
The app became free for everyone. If you still have an active yearly subscription from the old version, cancel it so it doesn't renew: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone → tap Florida DMV — Your Language → Cancel Subscription. You keep full access either way — everything is free now. If you were charged recently and want a refund, request it at reportaproblem.apple.com and email us — we'll back your request.
My native language isn't listed.
Right now we support English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Turkish. We're adding more — Vietnamese and Mandarin are next on the list. If your language isn't here yet, email us and we'll bump it up the queue if there's demand.
I found a question with a wrong answer / typo / bad translation.
Tap the 🚩 flag icon at the top of the question screen, choose the issue type, and submit. The report goes straight to our question-quality queue — no account needed. We review every flag within a few days.
Does this app work on iPad?
Yes. The app runs full-screen on any iPad, with the same free access as on iPhone.
Does my progress sync between devices?
Not yet — progress is stored locally on each device. iCloud sync is on the roadmap. Since every feature is free, there's nothing to restore or sign in for — only your study history is per-device.
Is this an official Florida DMV app?
No. We're not affiliated with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). The official Florida Driver License Handbook is free at flhsmv.gov. We build a study tool around it.
How accurate are your practice questions?
Questions are written based on patterns observed by drivers who actually took the FL DMV Class E Knowledge Exam. We update the question bank regularly as new exam patterns are reported. We don't reproduce the official exam — we teach the same material in a way that gets you ready for it.
What happens if I fail the FL DMV exam?
You can retake the exam at any DMV office. Florida lets you retest multiple times. Come back, run the Exam Simulator until you're consistently above 40/50, and focus on the categories your Stats screen shows as weakest.
